Moshi monsters party

This is a very special custom made piñata!

Today we had my eldest daughters tenth birthday party. She's very into her moshi monsters so there was an Iggy piñata, pin the eyeball on the zombie made from a picture of Zommers and much more moshi monsters themed fun including musical moshlings, splat the glump, hot cherry bomb...
A very good time was had by all! All I'm fit for now is lying down in a darkened room to recover! X

The stick the eyeball on the zombie game worked out really well. I had a little help from our resident artist with the preliminary sketches (I was getting short on time and flustered) but it would be easy to make your own using a print out from the moshi monsters site (there are some colouring pages available on ooh la lane according to my eldest).

Tommy gun piñata

This is a 1920's/30's Tommy gun piñata. Made from newspaper for a reunion/birthday party.

It’s fairly indestructible. Were just waiting for the birthday boy to decide whether to have it stuffed and beat it to pieces or keep it as a decoration before we touch up the paintwork a little.

A very special 30th birthday present.

This is the finished number piñata for a very special 30th.

Thank you very much to Malc, Sas and Jess for the picture and finishing touches! X

Several months on this piñata is still on top of the birthday girls wardrobe. She says she liked it too much to smash it up.

Mz Piggy and Hermit the frog

These are hanging up to dry for a few days before we add some finishing touches.
It looked a bit like hello kitty so we couldn't resist this pic... Our kids have made us watch it once too often.

Camper van wedding card box

This isn't technically a piñata as it has a slot for  envelopes at the top. Its made from a cardboard box and rather a lot of newspaper to add shape and detail.

Its also our 50th papier mache project and our favourite.

From cardboard box to camper van - click on this text for pictures of how it was made!

Cocktail glass piñata.

We've turned the Martini glass into a cocktail glass with a slice and an umbrella. We've got a bit carried away and made the umbrella huge!

The weight of the contents has changed the shape of the glass.

This one is enormous and due to be bashed to pieces at the On the edge festival tonight.

Papier mache Campervan (VW Kombi)

How to make a camper van piñata!

We thought we'd take step by step pictures of how it was made. It’s going to be just over a meter long once it’s finished. This one is being used for envelopes at a wedding.

A piñata like this would cost around £115 as its incredibly strong and detailed.
