1st anniversary -

Today was the first anniversary of the piñata lady (And the piñata pimp as well as piñata face).

We made a giant neon pink willy with oversize balls. It was the first and only one where we used wool for a more 'realistic' effect. We were really worried it wouldn't sell and when it did it only went for 99p. Not remotely worth if for the 6 hours work that went into it.

Over 100 piñatas later we still don't have a proper website (long story), We're at least starting to get the hang of the sales side of things and we're still having fun doing what we do best!

Our 50th piñata was the camper van (my favourite) the 100th was probably the red heart. Hopefully next year we'll have a big party somewhere and celebrate in style (11/4/13).

We did have a celebratory bottle of tequila stashed but we drank too much of that last weekend and we're still at the point where we're swearing we'll never do it again! Maybe we'll save it for next year.

Christmas again!

The little monsters have been even more popular than our fabulous Christmas puddings this year. Our house is covered in random assorted body parts which seems a bit more fitting for Halloween than Christmas!

Will add some pictures when I've more time! If you're interested in placing an order or getting a quote you can contact us at pinatalady@gmail.com

Vip party - check out ma poles!

These aren't technically a piñata, but they could have been. This was a quickly knocked up cordon for a VIP party. There was a set either side of the red carpet and they looked pretty damn good at the event, even if I do say so myself.

The organiser couldn't find any to buy online and managed to talk me into it. We had to knock them up during a busy few days and they weren't as dry as we'd have liked but they worked quite well. The cord is Japanese silk bondage rope and looked great hanging between the cordon poles.

Pet coffin

We were recently asked to make a coffin for a family pet. Here's a photo we were sent just before her burial and have added here with the owners consent.

The pet in question was a much loved elderly cat that belonged to a friend. One we've all spent time with. We hope she rests in peace.

For prices and more information on our biodegradable pet coffins please e-mail pinatalady@gmail.com

We're back and bigger than ever!

So much for trying to take a couple of months off to get things in order  - we've been busier than ever and I still can't find anything. I've no idea where half of my piñata stuff is. I should try to take time more often.

The toaster exploded (I know how it feels) the table's all loose, the washer's in the post (I'm going to install it myself, I hope). The computer works fine I think, but it's hard to tell when the tower and the monitor are no longer on speaking terms. Everything seems to be broken and my paper order has gone awry. The house is lovely though, over 100 years old with lots of original features, including a keeping stone in the cellar that self cleans every time it rains, and a pan shelf that's full of monsters (as well as random assorted bits).

I'll leave the moaning there, I've still 3 pinata's to finish by the end of the weekend and I guess I should add a few more pictures to this and at least make some effort to pretend to be organised!
